Glossary
Cultural fit
Cultural fit is how well content matches the expectations, sensitivities, and everyday references of a local audience. High cultural fit feels native; low cultural fit feels imported, awkward, or unsafe even when the grammar is correct.
Why it matters
Poor cultural fit can kill ads, offend audiences, or simply underperform. Checking cultural fit for images and copy is part of modern localisation quality. Nativ’s cultural localisation approach treats fit as a first-class requirement next to fluency.
Fit beyond words
A line can be perfect and a scene still wrong. Image and video culturalization exist because marketing is multimodal. GCC and India launches fail often on visual fit, not on missing vocabulary.
